Aquarae IV
Having formerly been an agri-world, Aquarae IV is a planet that lay on the very edges of Imperium space, and only lost more attention from the Imperium with its gain of the title of Death World when a cataclysmic event tore apart the planet. Continents were shattered from massive earthquakes and tectonic plate movements, sinking thousands of kilometers of land beneath the surface of the water. Numerous active volcanoes sprung up when the earthquakes had passed and created new landmasses dotted about the surface of the (now) water world, though the rating of Death World came with what had been buried beneath the surface. At some point or another before humanity had settled the planet, a hive fleet had landed on the surface, only to have been trapped by the original shifts and volcanoes that had created the landmasses in the first place. With the new tremors, the tyranids were let loose once more, filling the waters with their adapted numbers in search of matter for their hive. Earthquakes have become common place on the world and numerous creatures other than tyranids have been awoken, leaving the islands ranging from barren, blasted flat landscapes to islands that are more akin to a jungle, filled with hostile wildlife.
Many have begun to arrive once again, however - either to establish new colonies or bolster the ones that had persisted somehow through the years. With the Imperium barely casting a glance to the planet, many races had the chance to call it home - be it kroot mercenaries or wandering traders. Though with the neutral and non-hostile, plenty of hostile xenos had decided to call Aquarae their home, leaving the colonists in a desperate, nigh-on never ending battle to lay claim to what they believe is theirs.
